India is the great land of spices. That's not any secret.
But did you know spices will help you with your skin, too?
Spices are concentrated sources of antioxidants and some have been studied for therapeutic properties.
Most of these spices are available in our kitchen and are traditionally used as skin remedies.
Here are five skincare aiding spices you can pick up right away and use to improve your skin’s health.
Nourish with Nutmeg
Nourish your skin with Nutmeg, which is an excellent exfoliator - especially with honey. By reducing pigmentation, it helps promote youthful skin and treats oilyness. It's also a natural cleanser.
Turn to Turmeric
Turn to Turmeric if you want youthful-looking skin while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. To get the right mixture, take one spoon of turmeric and honey. Apply to the areas, massage and leave it on a few minutes, then rinse off to get well-hydrated and shiny skin.
Glow with Ginger
Go to Ginger if you want to reduce the blemishes, scarring, or improve the skin tone. Make a combination of ginger juice, lemon juice and rose water in equal parts and safely scrub around your face (except the eyes) with this mixture. Wait a few minutes, then rinse off to have reduced blemishes and fresh, bright skin and improved elasticity.
Detoxify with Pepper
Pepper detoxifies because it's rich in magnesium, potassium, magnesium, along with Vitamins K and C. Preferably used to remove blackheads, it can make a nice scrub with a tablespoon of yogurt when mixed with a pinch of black pepper. Apply it to blackheads, wait for five minutes and rinse off.
Clear with Cinnamon
Cinnamon helps to reduce oilyness, drying out of the skin and reducing red spots. Cinnamon can help treat itching problems, treat blackheads and reduce breakouts. Cinnamon can make an excellent face mask with honey. Make it with a half tablespoon of cinnamon powder, a spoonful of fenugreek and 2 tablespoons of honey. Apply safely to those areas, leave on a few minutes, then rinse with water for wonderfully bright beauty.
